Three leagues, six tracks, eight runners a race. You choose the runner — the lap itself runs on its own, and there is no second try. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
There is no driving and no timing window. The skill, such as it is, sits entirely in the pick — which is why the numbers you pick from are the real ones the race engine uses.
C1, C2 or C3. Each fields a different cast and a different number of runners.
Every entry shows its burst, stamina and cornering, plus heat and wear. Those are the values the race is computed from, not decoration.
The camera cuts between side, low and rear-quarter angles. Nothing you do changes the outcome once it starts.
Gap to the winner and faults per runner, with your pick marked. Then pick again.
A race is generated from a seed, so the same seed always produces the same result. That is what makes a finish worth reading — the dogs won or lost on their numbers, not on a coin flip at the line.
The stat table is shared. What changes between leagues is who is wearing it and how many of them line up.
Eight quadruped robots, one chassis, eight different builds. The flagship — and the reason a four-legged run cycle took as long as it did.
Eight apes and monkeys, each with their own run. Gorillas are heavy and short-strided; chimps cover more ground per step.
Six characters from the wider CANIS cast, run at a larger scale because a six-runner field leaves room for it.
Course length and the mix of corners, straights and sprints decide which stat matters. A dog built for top speed is wasted on a circuit full of corners.
The game was built so a phone can do everything a keyboard can. The keys are a shortcut, not a requirement.
Leagues, runners, tracks and the chevrons on the select screen all respond to a tap. No key is needed to reach any screen.
Enter or Space starts. Left and Right change league on the select screen. T cycles the track.
If the frame stops responding to keys, click once inside it — a browser only sends keystrokes to the frame that has focus.
This is an early build, put up so people can see the thing move. Characters, tracks and numbers are all still changing.
The racing game and the CANIS NODE app are separate today. There is no account, no balance and nothing to buy here — results are not recorded anywhere and do not affect anything in the app. If the two are ever connected, it will be announced before it happens, not discovered afterwards.
